Biltmore

Biltmore™, America’s Largest Home, is located in picturesque Asheville, North Carolina. Built between 1889-1895, it is known for its relaxed elegance and exceptional treasures, including original art from masters such as Pierre-August Renoir and John Singer Sergent.

Larson-Juhl was honored to have the opportunity to enjoy a behind the scenes visit of George W. Vanderbilt’s home and its vast art collection, including a warehouse on the grounds that houses hundreds of antique frames, not currently on display. It was on this intimate tour that Larson-Juhl’s designers were first inspired to create a line of fine, custom frame moulding, inspired by Biltmore.

The Vanderbilt’s great appreciation for fine art is evident in their selection of pieces displayed in their home; portraits by acclaimed artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Giovanni Boldini and John Singer Sargent adorn many of Biltmore’s walls. The Frame Center Gallery is proud to offer this collection that allows you to add a touch of Biltmore to your home.

Biltmore

Biltmore – The frames surrounding these great works of art served as the inspiration for Larson-Juhl’s first Biltmore™ frame collection. Reminiscent of Biltmore’s antique frames, with their intricate details, aged patina and rich finishes, the Biltmore Frame Collection™ by Larson-Juhl® brings the grandeur and tradition of this great home to art & custom framing.

Billiard

Billiard – Larson-Juhl’s second Biltmore inspired moulding collection, Billiard, introduces a classic, masculine aesthetic, designed around the grand Billiard Room of the historic Biltmore house. The Billiard Collection™ by Larson-Juhl® combines traditional styling and patterning with a soft Ebony finish accented with Gold detailing.

Olmsted
Olmsted – The third Biltmore inspired custom frame moulding collection by Larson-Juhl, is Olmsted. The Olmsted Collection is inspired by Fredrick Law Olmsted, the landscape architect behind the grounds of Biltmore Estate as well as New York City’s Central Park. The Olmsted collection features classic Acanthus leaf ornamentation, which has been an important element in architecture for centuries.
Tapestry
Tapestry – Larson-Juhl’s Design Team continues to be inspired by George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore and has launched the company’s fourth Biltmore for Your Home® custom frame moulding collection, Tapestry. The new Tapestry Collection by Larson-Juhl® exudes Biltmore style with a nod, not only to the priceless tapestries gracing the walls of this grand home, but also to the delicate scrollwork and ornate architectural details so prevalent throughout the estate.
